Comments: Ive done a little research and heard that Ludwig Spaeth or Pocahantas are two varieties of VERY dark purple lilacs. I had only seen them in Psnnsylvania and was struck by their beauty. I live in Fairfield, just north of Cincinnati. Are there any local nurseries that carry dark purple lilacs By the way, I noticed below that you have plant discussion groups I just visited a wonderful site in North Dakota, University extension I think, that was most educational. How would I participate in a plant discussion group
